SAMENWERKING REAL SALT LAKE – SK BEVEREN
Real Salt Lake en SK Beveren zijn trots om als zusterclubs te kunnen samenwerken met als doel de eigen clubstructuur, zowel op als naast het veld, te verbeteren. Beide clubs hebben de afgelopen maanden inzichten gedeeld om elkaar te helpen de eigen doelstellingen te bereiken.
SK Beveren is blij de komst van meerdere spelers van RSL en Real Monarchs voor testperiodes te kunnen aankondigen. Deze testperiodes van meerdere weken zijn bedoeld om elke speler individueel te laten groeien en hen ook het leven in Europa te laten ervaren. Tegelijkertijd krijgt onze club de kans om enkele toptalenten van RSL van dichtbij te bekijken. Zack Farnsworth bracht de afgelopen tien dagen reeds door in onze club. Bode Hidalgo, Golden Mafwenta en Aziz Kayondo zullen binnenkort ook enige tijd in Beveren verblijven.

“Elke jonge speler droomt ervan om ooit in Europa te spelen. De culturele verschillen op en naast het veld maken het echter soms moeilijk om hier te kunnen aarden. We vinden het fantastisch om gastheer te kunnen zijn van deze jonge spelers bij het ontdekken van een andere omgeving en het zichzelf uitdagen in een nieuwe context.”
“Het is niet enkel de bedoeling om hen te zien trainen bij ons eerste en tweede elftal. We laten hen ook wedstrijden bijwonen, België ontdekken en geven hen een eerste voorproefje van Europees voetbal alvorens ze hun ontwikkeling bij ons of in Salt Lake City verderzetten.”

“Onze club groeit zowel in eigen land als in de Blitzer Groep. De unieke ontwikkelingskansen die onze spelers hierdoor krijgen op vlak van jeugdopleiding, spelen bij de Monarchs of bij het eerste team, zijn bijzonder krachtig.”
“Onze spelers krijgen daarnaast unieke kansen, zowel op als naast het veld, om hun vaardigheden aan te scherpen, nieuwe culturen te ontdekken en te groeien als speler en als persoon. Ongetwijfeld zullen de effecten van deze groeikansen reeds in 2023 zichtbaar worden.”
De clubeigenaars willen spelers zien groeien en laten openbloeien tot de best mogelijke professionals die ze kunnen zijn. Of dat nu in België, Nederland, Portugal, Duitsland, Engeland of de VS is, we hopen in de toekomst steeds meer van zulke grensoverschrijdende samenwerkingen te realiseren zodat spelers, coaches en werknemers zich binnen onze eigen structuur verder kunnen ontwikkelen.
Multi-Club Cooperation
As sister clubs, Real Salt Lake and SK Beveren are proud to work together on improving their own structures both on and off the pitch. Club leadership have shared insights these last months, and are closely aligned in helping each other achieve their objectives.
SK Beveren is happy to announce the arrival of multiple RSL and Real Monarchs players during test periods. These multi-week sessions are meant to help each individual player grow and experience Europe, while allowing our club the opportunity to see some of RSL’s top talents up close and in our own facilities. Zack Farnsworth has spent the last 10 days at our club, and Bode Hidalgo, Golden Mafwenta and Aziz Kayondo will soon be spending some time in Beveren as well.
“Every young player dreams of one day playing in Europe – however the cultural differences on and off the pitch are sometimes hard to adapt to. We’re thrilled to host these young men as they discover a different environment and challenge themselves against new competition”, says CEO Antoine Gobin. “The objective isn’t only to see them practice with our first and second teams; it’s to have them attend our matches, discover Belgium, and get a first taste of European football before continuing their development either with us or in Salt Lake City.”
