Club Statement

1 jaar geleden werd Waasland-Beveren voor 97,48% overgenomen door de Amerikaanse groep Bolt. Er werd toen afgesproken dat de bestuurders Dirk Huyck en Olivier Swolfs nog de overgang zouden begeleiden. Aangezien de overgang succesvol is afgerond en de destijds afgesproken optie op het saldo van de aandelen nu werd gelicht, is de tijd aangebroken om in onderling overleg hun bestuursfuncties neer te leggen.

Onze club dankt de afscheidnemende bestuurders Dirk Huyck en Olivier Swolfs voor de geleverde inspanningen van de voorbije jaren.

Beiden zullen de club verder blijven ondersteunen als sponsor en supporter.

As part of our club’s continued development, Waasland-Beveren today announces changes in its ownership and directorship structure.

Bolt Football Holdings has finalized the purchase of all remaining shares in the club, closing the last page of the agreement that was signed in September 2020. At the time, it was agreed that Dirk Huyck and Olivier Swolfs would stay onboard as directors to ensure a smooth transition. With this transition of shares now being finalized, they will both step down from the Board of Directors by mutual agreement, as well as from their roles as President of the Board and CFO.
