SK Beveren neemt afscheid van CEO Antoine Gobin
SK Beveren bevestigt dat CEO Antoine Gobin op 30 juni 2024 afscheid zal nemen van de club. De 35-jarige Fransman werd in oktober 2020 door de Amerikaanse eigenaars van Global Football Holdings aangesteld als CEO.
“Bij mijn aanstelling in 2020 werd mij gevraagd de club te herstructureren en te professionaliseren”, aldus Gobin. “Ondanks dat het sportief niet altijd gegaan is zoals we hadden gehoopt, kunnen we met trots zeggen dat we als club grote stappen hebben gezet op het gebied van structuur, infrastructuur, organisatie en omkadering.”
“Een van de opdrachten die ik bij mijn aanstelling kreeg was mezelf overbodig maken. We hebben een structuur neergezet die mag gezien worden en die mensen op en naast het veld alle mogelijkheden biedt om hun potentieel ten volle te ontwikkelen. Ik laat Beveren achter in goede handen: een groep toegewijde professionals die dag in dag uit het beste van zichzelf geeft om deze club de toekomst te geven die ze verdient.”
Gobin maakte in september bekend dat hij zijn rol als CEO van SK Beveren zou combineren met de functie van Head of Business Operations voor Global Football Holdings, de structuur die betrokken is bij SK Beveren, ADO Den Haag, Estoril en Brøndby IF.
Gobin verlaat niet alleen SK Beveren, maar trekt ook de deur achter zich dicht bij Global Football Holdings.
“De afgelopen 4 jaar heb ik samen met mijn team keihard gewerkt. De omstandigheden waren niet altijd eenvoudig, maar het was een geweldige ervaring met momenten van intense vreugde, maar onmiskenbaar ook een aantal mindere momenten. Tijdens mijn tijd in Beveren heb ik geweldige mensen leren kennen: fans, medewerkers, stafleden, spelers, sponsors,… Ik ben echt verliefd geworden op deze club. Na 4 jaar is de tijd gekomen om terug te keren naar diegenen die het dichtst bij mij staan en die ik de voorbije jaren niet altijd de aandacht heb kunnen geven die ze verdienen: mijn vrouw, mijn familie, mijn vrienden.”
SK Beveren & Global Football Holdings bedanken Antoine Gobin voor zijn inzet en toewijding gedurende zijn tijd bij de club en wensen hem alle succes in de toekomst.

SK Beveren bids farewell to CEO Antoine Gobin
SK Beveren confirmed today that CEO Antoine Gobin will be leaving the club on June 30, 2024. The 35-year-old Frenchman was appointed as CEO of the club in October 2020 by the American owners of Global Football Holdings.
“Upon my appointment in 2020, I was tasked with restructuring and professionalizing the club,” said Gobin. “Although the sporting results have not always been as we had hoped, we can proudly say that we have made significant strides in terms of structure, infrastructure, organization, and support framework.”
“One of the tasks I was given at my appointment was to make myself redundant. We have established a structure that is exemplary and provides people on and off the field with every opportunity to fully develop their potential. I leave Beveren in good hands: a group of dedicated professionals who give their best every day to ensure the club has the future it deserves.”
Earlier this season, in September, Gobin announced that he would combine his role as CEO of SK Beveren with the position of Head of Business Operations for Global Football Holdings, the structure involved in SK Beveren, ADO Den Haag, Estoril, and Brøndby IF.
Gobin is not only leaving SK Beveren but is also stepping down from Global Football Holdings.
“For the past 4 years, I have worked diligently with my team. The circumstances were not always straightforward, but it has been a fantastic journey with moments of intense joy as well as some challenges. During my time in Beveren, I have met amazing people: employees, staff members, players, sponsors, fans,… I have developed a deep affection for this club. After 4 years, the time has come to return to those who are closest to me and whom I have not always been able to give the attention they deserve over the past years: my wife, my family, my friends.”
