WELKOM OP DE FREETHIEL, ERDON DACI!
SK Beveren rekent voor de rest van dit seizoen op aanvaller Erdon Daci (25). Geel-blauw huurt de Noord-Macedonische spits een half seizoen van KVC Westerlo. Daci is geen onbekende in het Belgische voetbal. De spits was in het seizoen 2021-2022 een belangrijke schakel bij de promotie van Westerlo.
Erdon Daci begon in zijn thuisland te voetballen bij FK Vardar. In 2017 stapte hij over naar het Turkse Konyaspor dat hem eerst opnam in het U21-team. Twee jaar later werd de aanvaller overgeheveld naar de hoofdmacht. Daci kwam voor het Turkse team in 45 wedstrijden in actie. Hierin liet hij vijf maal de netten trillen en gaf hij ook vier assists.
In de zomer van 2021 maakte de aanvaller de overstap naar KVC Westerlo. De Noord-Macedoniër bewees in zijn eerste seizoen meteen zijn waarde voor de Kemphanen. Westerlo slaagde er dat seizoen immers in om terug te keren naar de Jupiler Pro League. Door een blessure werd zijn tweede seizoen in België er een om snel te vergeten, maar dit jaar rekende Westerlo opnieuw op de diensten van de aanvaller. De spits kwam dit seizoen dertien keer in actie en vond daarin drie keer de weg naar doel. Afgelopen zomer verlengde Westerlo overigens zijn contract tot 2025.
Daci kwam meermaals in actie bij de jeugdteams van zijn land. Op 17 oktober debuteerde hij in een oefeninterland tegen Armenië voor het A-elftal. In zijn debuutmatch liet de aanvaller tijdens een invalbeurt meteen de netten trillen.

Hij speelde in het seizoen 2021-2022 een belangrijke rol in de promotie van Westerlo en werd eveneens opgeroepen als international voor zijn land. Ook dit seizoen heeft Daci zich voor KVC Westerlo als een waardevolle speler bewezen met drie doelpunten en een assist in dertien wedstrijden.”
Daci zal aantreden met het rugnummer 10.

ERDON DACI JOINS BEVEREN!
SK Beveren will rely on forward Erdon Daci (25) for the remainder of this season. The yellow-blue team has secured the North Macedonian striker on loan for the second half of the season from KVC Westerlo. Daci is no stranger to Belgian football, having played a crucial role in Westerlo’s promotion during the 2021-2022 season.
Erdon Daci began his football career in his home country with FK Vardar. In 2017, he made the move to Turkish club Konyaspor, initially joining the U21 team. Two years later, the forward was promoted to the first team. Daci made 45 appearances for the Turkish team, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
In the summer of 2021, the striker transferred to KVC Westerlo. In his first season, he immediately proved his worth to the Kemphanen, contributing to Westerlo’s successful return to the Jupiler Pro League. However, due to an injury, his second season in Belgium was one to quickly forget. Nonetheless, Westerlo once again relied on the services of the forward this year. Daci has appeared in thirteen matches this season, finding the back of the net three times. Westerlo extended his contract until 2025 last summer.
Daci has represented his country in various youth teams and made his debut for the national A-team on October 17 in a friendly against Armenia. In his debut match, the forward scored immediately during a substitute appearance.
