Marink Reedijk is de nieuwe hoofdcoach van SK Beveren! De 32-jarige Nederlander, die afgelopen seizoen aan de slag was als hoofdtrainer van RSCA Futures, tekende een contract tot het einde van het seizoen.
Met Reedijk stelt SK Beveren een jonge, dynamische en gedreven coach aan. Marink combineert 15 jaar ervaring als coach in verschillende functies binnen formatie, post-formatie en eerste elftal met een sterke academische achtergrond.
Reedijk begon zijn coaching carrière op jonge leeftijd. Als 18-jarige startte hij als coach bij een lokale club. Al in zijn eerste seizoen werd hij opgemerkt door de KNVB en ingeschakeld als coach voor de interregionale jeugdselecties.
Vanaf 2014 ging Reedijk aan de slag bij Ajax, waar hij als coach bij de U16, U17 en U19 kon samenwerken met toptalenten zoals Donny Van de Beek, Matthijs De Ligt, Brian Brobbey en Ryan Gravenberch.
In 2018 werd hij assistent-coach bij het eerste elftal van KSV Roeselare.
Reedijk werkte ook twee seizoenen in Engeland bij West Bromwich Albion. Deze keuze was een gevolg van een bewuste zoektocht naar verdieping en verbreding: Marink trok naar het Verenigd Koninkrijk om er verder te studeren. Hij behaalde er niet alleen een masterdiploma, maar ook een doctoraat in Sports Coaching Science.
In 2021 ging Reedijk aan de slag bij Vitesse, waar hij gedurende twee seizoenen actief was als T2 onder Thomas Letsch en Phillip Cocu, en onder meer werkte met Rode Duivel Lois Openda.
Marink werd vorige zomer aangesteld als hoofdcoach van de RSCA Futures in de Challenger Pro League. Na een seizoen waarin alle doelstellingen werden behaald, besloot Reedijk dat hij klaar was voor een nieuwe uitdaging, als coach van een eerste elftal.
SK Beveren is verheugd dat Marink Reedijk de club komt versterken. We zijn ervan overtuigd dat zijn aanstelling voor een belangrijke kwaliteitsinjectie zorgt, die de sportieve werking van de club naar een hoger niveau zal tillen.

In de gesprekken maakte hij indruk met zijn visie en analytisch vermogen. Marink is een moderne coach: onderbouwd, innovatief, open in de communicatie, maar ook veeleisend: keihard werken is de basis om talent om te zetten in kwaliteit. SK Beveren stelt iemand aan met een ongelofelijke drive en een gezonde dosis lef, die hetzelfde van zijn spelers verwacht. Ik kijk er ongelofelijk naar uit om met Marink samen te werken.”

MARINK REEDIJK APPOINTED AS HEAD COACH OF SK BEVEREN
Marink Reedijk is the new head coach of SK Beveren! The 32-year-old Dutchman, who served as head coach of RSCA Futures last season, has signed a contract until the end of the season.
With Reedijk, SK Beveren appoints a young, dynamic, and driven coach. Marink combines 15 years of coaching experience in various roles within formation, post-formation, and first team levels with a strong academic background.
Reedijk began his coaching career at a young age. At 18, he started coaching at a local club. Already in his first season, he was noticed by the KNVB and recruited as a coach for the interregional youth selections.
Starting in 2014, Reedijk was involved in coaching the U16, U17, and U19 teams at Ajax, working in a high-performance environment with top talents such as Donny Van de Beek, Matthijs De Ligt, Brian Brobbey, and Ryan Gravenberch.
In 2018, he became assistant coach with the first team of KSV Roeselare.
Reedijk also spent two seasons in England as a youth coach at West Bromwich Albion. Driven by his pursuit of more depth and breadth, Marink moved to the United Kingdom to further his studies, earning both a master’s degree and a PhD in Sports Coaching Science.
In 2021, Reedijk joined Vitesse, where he spent two seasons as the assistant coach under Thomas Letsch and Phillip Cocu, working with Belgian international Lois Openda.
Last summer, Marink was appointed head coach of RSCA Futures in the Challenger Pro League. After a successful season where all objectives were met, Reedijk decided he was ready for a new challenge as the head coach of a first team.
