WELKOM OP DE FREETHIEL, THIERNO BARRY!

SK Beveren stelt met Thierno Barry (19) een tweede versterking voor op de Freethiel. De Fransman met Guinese roots tekende zonet een contract voor 2 seizoenen bij geel en blauw, met optie op een extra seizoen.

Barry is een rasechte centrumspits, zijn neus voor doelpunten etaleerde hij reeds in de afgelopen twee oefengaloppen als testspeler. Hij scoorde tweemaal tegen Svelta Melsele, tegen Rupel-Boom deed hij dat nog eens over. Met z’n 1m95 toont hij veel présence in het zestienmetergebied. De Fransman speelde afgelopen seizoen voor FC Sochaux B, voorheen speelde hij bij SC Toulon.

CEO Antoine Gobin: “Thierno kwam bij ons om zich te bewijzen als professioneel voetballer. In de korte testperiode bij ons, zagen we het talent en het potentieel dat hij bezit. We kijken ernaar uit om hem te zien groeien bij onze club en door te stoten als een sleutelspeler in de nabije toekomst.”

SK Beveren introduces a second reinforcement with Thierno Barry (19) at the Freethiel. The Frenchman with Guinean roots has just signed a contract for 2 seasons with the yellow-blue, with an option on an extra season.

Barry is a pure centre-forward, who has already shown his talent for scoring goals in the past two friendlies. He scored twice against Svelta Melsele, and did the same against Rupel-Boom. With his six feet tall, he shows a lot of presence in the sixteen-metre area. The Frenchman played for FC Sochaux B last season, previously he played for SC Toulon.
